Step by step

2. Check compatibility before using a spot remover. Use a water-spot product only if its instructions confirm compatibility with the installed coating and surface. Follow its dilution, dwell time, test-area, and rinsing directions. Do not substitute a homemade vinegar mixture or stronger chemical when compatibility is unknown.
3. Work on a small area at a time. Follow the cleaner instructions on a small test area before proceeding. Keep products from drying on the panel and rinse as directed. Stop if you notice a change in appearance or if the approved process does not remove the mark.
4. Check whether a maintenance product is needed. A booster is not an automatic next step. Ask whether the coating care instructions call for one after cleaning and which product is compatible. A temporary change in beading does not establish whether the base coating needs reapplication.
